First
Electric Co-Op
First Electric Cooperative Corporation is an electric
distribution cooperative, incorporated April 26, 1937, as the
first electric cooperative in Arkansas, under the direction
of the Rural Electrification Act as signed by President Franklin
D. Roosevelt.
Today, First Electric Cooperative serves approximately 70,000
member accounts throughout parts of seventeen counties in
central and southeast Arkansas.
First Electric Cooperative owns and maintains over 9,700
miles of distribution power lines and 39 substations. First
Electric Cooperative is the largest distribution cooperative
in Arkansas and one of the 30 largest of the nation's 1,000
electric cooperatives.
West
Central Planning and Development District
The West Central Arkansas Planning and Development
District, Inc. (WCAPDD) was organized for the purpose of improving
and enhancing the social and economic well-being and opportunities
for the people residing within its boundaries. WCAPDD is a
multi-county non-profit planning and development organization
established to promote economic development, to assist local
governments and private organizations in obtaining federal
and state grants and loans, to prepare comprehensive regional
plans for economic development and improve government services,
to enlist private support for these activities, and to coordinate
private and public programs in a multi-county district.
WCAPDD serves a ten (10) county area in the west central
section of Arkansas. The geographic scope of our District
is 7,057 square miles with a population of 247,859. WCAPDD
serves the following Arkansas counties: Clark, Conway, Garland,
Hot Spring, Johnson, Montgomery, Perry, Pike, Pope, and Yell.

The Metro Little Rock Region represents a location with a
perfect blend of progressive economic philosophy, trade accessibility,
available sites and quality workforce. The region has excellent
education and healthcare options but it's all wrapped in
quiet Southern hospitality, a moderate climate and scenic
Ozark Foothill scenery.
Nearly one million Arkansans enjoy this personal and professional

for the state. It's a strong collaboration of 11 counties
working toward a common goal of growing Central Arkansas
as a national leader for business development.

of Commerce
The mission of the Morrilton Area Chamber of Commerce
is to serve as the focal point in the development and implementation
of ongoing programs and projects aimed at creating quality
economic growth, protecting and enhancing a business climate
which is conducive to the profitable operation of business,
industry, agriculture, education, the professions, and to
expand the opportunities for all area residents to enjoy
an increased standard of living.
