Resting in the shadow of beautiful Petit Jean Mountain, the site of Arkansas' flagship State Park, it sits along side one of America's most important transcontinental highways, Interstate 40, providing quick and convenient access for personal and commercial transportation. This connects Conway County to Little Rock, the state capital, just 50 minutes away. Morrilton has a growing medical community with St. Anthony's Medical Center, affiliated with the St. Vincent Health System in Little Rock and several clinics with a growing number of specialists in various fields.

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton provides a strong roster of academic and vocational courses. UACCM is a major provider of continuing education for the Conway County work force.
