Morrilton is a city of 6,550 persons located on the north side of the Arkansas River in Conway County. Resting in the shadow of beautiful Petit Jean Mountain, the site of Arkansas' flagship State Park, it sits along side one of America's most important transcontinental highways, Interstate 40, providing quick and convenient access for personal and commercial transportation. This connects Conway County to Little Rock, the state capital, just 50 minutes away. Morrilton is within 550 miles of major hubs like Atlanta, Dallas/Fort Worth, New Orleans, Kansas City, Oklahoma City, Memphis, and St. Louis.

Morrilton is the seat of Conway County, a residential, agricultural and tourist area that is home to 20,000+ people. Our residents are blessed with a rural, Small City. No Limits. life style, while being convenient to big city amenities.

Tourism is focused on Petit Jean Mountain, home of the previously mentioned Petit Jean State Park, and visited by over 400,000 visitors each year. The Park was recently included in the list of the top ten most beautiful scenic views in the South. The mountain is also home to the Museum of Automobiles, an outstanding collection of antique automobiles and host to the hugely successful Antique Car Show and Swap Meet each June.

Morrilton has a growing medical community with St. Anthony's Medical Center, affiliated with the St. Vincent Health System in Little Rock and several clinics with a growing number of specialists in various fields.

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton provides a strong roster of academic and vocational courses. UACCM is a major provider of continuing education for the Conway County work force.
